Environmentally Friendly Products

Preserving nature is one of our greatest commitments.

Through standard environmental management procedures, we use appropriate technology to manufacture environmentally friendly products.

In accordance with our environmental policy, we preserve and expand the Permanent Preservation Area (PPA), which currently covers approximately 20,000 m² around the industrial plant.

HIGG – FEM

Sustainability is part of our DNA, and we are a company committed to promoting sustainable development by protecting the environment through pollution prevention and managing environmental impacts. To measure and evaluate environmental performance and reduce risks, we have adopted a self-assessment system using the HIGG-FEM tool, which enables the identification of strengths and areas for improvement focused on sustainability.

Plantarum Botanical Garden

In 2021, we became a “Plantarum Friendly Company,” supporting a social and environmental cause that harmonizes financial interests in business with the creation of wealth aligned with people’s well-being, respect for nature, and the preservation of the world’s natural resources. Small actions change the world, and together we will transform the economic model and move toward an economically sustainable and equitable planet by supporting high-quality botanical research, environmental education, and the conservation of Brazilian flora.

Water – Essential for Life

Thinking about the well-being of our employees and future generations, we are committed to the sustainable use of water and conduct awareness lectures on the proper utilization of this precious resource. In addition, we have installed self-closing faucets to control and reduce water consumption. We also collect rainwater from the rooftops of our buildings to supply our ponds.

Good Work Practices

We create synergies with suppliers and clients to identify opportunities for reducing inputs such as water, steam, packaging, and waste. We ensure organization, cleanliness, proper storage, documentation, and procedures suitable for the materials handled within the company. We offer the market biodegradable and environmentally friendly products. We keep our Production Planning and Control (PPC) system well-organized, aiming to reduce energy consumption and the amount of solid and liquid waste generated by industrial processes — contributing to a better quality of life for future generations.

Sustainable Actions

Preventive maintenance is carried out on the equipment used to avoid leaks, ruptures, and product spills. To reduce electricity consumption, motion sensors have been installed in certain areas. In addition, we implement projects to increase the energy efficiency of our equipment and use a solar heating system.

Emergency Brigade

We provide the necessary conditions for training and regulatory qualification programs to ensure the safety of everyone involved, as well as the ongoing training of the Emergency Brigade to act in fire prevention and control, area evacuation, first aid, and chemical spill response — aiming to protect life, property, and the environment.

Selective Waste Collection for a Better World

We promote initiatives to encourage recycling by conducting awareness lectures and providing specific bins for proper waste separation and disposal.

Social Responsibility

We promote social initiatives with various charitable organizations through contributions of essential materials for humanitarian aid, as well as volunteer actions involving our employees, bringing joy and well-being both to the people supported and to the volunteers themselves.
